My niece (FG) is making her Commuinion the same day as my wedding *UPDATED *

They live in Fla. My sister has been asking the principal for weeks (niece is in cathloic school) when its going to be . She explained that she has a wedding in NY that her whole family is in it and if he could tell her asap! Well thats our Irish luck!
So the principal told my sister that my niece can make her commuinion April 23 instead of the 24th.(they all go to church in her school on Fridays) In front of her whole school by herself! shes very shy. I feel so bad for her. The other bad thing is that our rehearsal dinner is the 22nd. So their whole family will miss it.
So I was thinking of asking our priest if she can make her communion the day of our wedding. I feel that it would be very special for her and for FH and me. Do you think the priest will ok it? Sorry so long

I think that is such a special, sweet and touching thing to offer to have her receive communion at your wedding. That would be such a great day for you both and will always be remembered by your family.

I think that's beautiful. It lets her know how important she is to you and FH and how much you want her there. If priest okays it, go for it. (Besides, her parents will appreciate not having to plan a Communion and party and stuff.)

That is a nice idea. I am not sure the priest will go for it. You know how particular they can be.

I think she would love to have her first communion at your wedding - I'm just not sure the priest will allow it. Maybe they can make some arrangements with their church in FL so everything is in order.

I think that is a great idea and also very special to share your day with her! You sould talk to your niece and see what she thinks.....but it is truly a great idea!

My Priest said ok! Buttttt, than my sister asked me did the pastor say ok.! So I said that a priest can't go back on his word right?
