Ok- I sat down with my parents today and asked them why arent they onboard with the wedding. I wanted to know if they were embarrassed that we were having a wedding and what the deal was. They told me that they were very happy that I found someone so wonderful and that I was getting married. But they just didnt understand why we were going to have a 'big' wedding and I should just a dinner after the ceremony with the family. I then very nicely explained to them that a restaurant really couldnt hold the size of our family alone and that is why it will be in a RH. My parents just sat there with this blank look on their face and finally said 'yeah, your right' I think they may finally understand now. i really hope so.
I probably should have done this a long time ago

awwww. im glad to hear they listened to you and are on the path to understanding. this is definately a good thing.
and the most important thing is that they are happy that you are happy. so YAY!
