My one angry bm rant post

So I love my girls to death, but I'm just so annoyed that 3 of them (2 if my MOH!) don't seem to understand the urgency to get their dress measurements to me! I have been asking for two months to get the measurement and neither have done it. They both live out of state so it's not like I can go w them, and the other one is just being annoying...I had gotten an email from rk bridal saying d orders are not in by jan 1 the dress prices are going up $25.... And I'm not going to make my girls who did their measurements pay for them being slacking... I'm ready to just order the size I think they need and let them deal with it...

Ok rant over. Back to elf.

I needed to be on my girls every week about getting their measurements to me. I gave them a deadline and then I just started kind of 'shaming,' the girls who didn't get me their measurements. I sent out group messages regularly saying 'Thanks to so an so for getting me you measurements! So far I have sarah, jen, mich, and rosa. I still need caroline and sophie before the order can be placed.' It worked for the most part. Good luck with your BMs. I hope they get it together soon.

i had similar concerns....my bridesmaids span 3 countries. so imagine that lol. i had pressure from the store saying the dresses might be out of stock soon....but eventually it all worked out. part of what i had to realize real fast (esp with Sandy just happening and a number of my girls being from LI) is that although my wedding is important to me, it's not everyone elses top priority and they really and truly were doing their best. everything will work out. your bm's love you and will come through :)

I thought I was the only one going through this LOL...I went like two months ago with 4 out of 6 of my BMs. 1 backed out at the last minute and the other lives out of state. I felt bad picking the dresses without the 2 that couldn't make it, but it was impossible for anyone to come back again at the same time. The 4 that came gave their measurements and deposits that day. The bridal salon refused to order the dresses until all of the measurements and deposits were in. To make a long story short, the dresses were finally ordered on Friday. I kept trying to be nice about it. They both had the option to just call in the measurements and send in a check. Neither one did this. I didn't want to come across as a bridezilla, but my wedding is less than 5 months away, so I didn't want to cut it too close. Sorry you all had to deal with that, too. Hopefully they get theirs in soon!

thats more of my issue. im trying to be nice and save them like $100 each on the dress but they just seem to blow it off and say oh we have so much time! if i dont order by the 19th we will have to pay a rush delivery charge of $80 each dress!! so annoying.

Nicole I have to agree with you...but it is VERY annoying when you have to hound people. Then you feel like you are being a nag LOL. But things will work out.
