i want to get them something extra extra extra nice,,,,, escp since they've contributed SO much to the wedding

If you are looking for something quaint and quiet Ogunquit Maine is beautiful .
Another nice gesture is have their wedding song played at your wedding and let them have a little spot light dance!

my sister got married in april on my parents 40th anniversary....we had a cake and a small ceremony at the wedding reception and sent them to a spa in connecticut for a weekend retreat...they loved it and were sooo surprised...we even got them their own little cake and had them dance to their wedding song...

I agree -- definitely mention it at the wedding and dedicate a song to them -- or let them dance to their own first dance song -- alone, not like an anniversary dance
