My mom is planning to have doubles of certain things at her home. She wants the baby to have a second home at her house. The newest thing she wants is a glider/ottoman.
The funniest thing that happened over the weekend was when my father said to my mom that she cannot have the baby all of the time, and that he has to have grandpa time. They were so cute.
I must say that I am honored to give them thir first grandchild.

They are going to LOVEEEE this whole experience and give plenty of TLC to this baby.
Wait till you leave the baby with them for hours or even overnight, they're going to be like 'dont rush back' and then when you pick the baby up, they'll tell you how much the baby loves THEM specifically Its the BEST...
JA kept throwing himself at my dad yesterday and my dad goes 'See? HE sees me and cant think straight anymore, all he wants to do is be in my arms or be wherever I am!' and he SO seriously feels that way! and I LOVE IT ! My mother constantly teaches him Italian songs or phrases and he learns them SO much faster from her than from me With me he just plays around and doesnt pay attention.
ENJOY mommy time and let them enjoy grandparent time ! ITs priceless !

That is so cute. I have a feeling that my parents are going to be like that. Especially that I will have their first grandchild. Unless my unmarried older brother beats me to it!

That is really cute! It's so nice to seem them so excited isn't it? My father has been depressed since he was forced to retire a couple of years ago do do a aneurysm. I haven't seen him excited about anything in a long time and ever since Lyla was born I love seeming him so happy.

I TOTALLY understand how you feel...Paul is the first grandchild for mine and Jeff's 'rents and it is so adorable to watch them enjoy it!
And trust me - if your parents want to have 'duplicate' stuff at their house - like a Pack-n-Play, high chair, etc - LET THEM! It totally makes your life easier NOT to have to pack your entire house in the car whenever you for a visit!

Giving your parents grandchildren is the best gift you could ever give. Our parents are all divorced, so everyone is always asking to keep our Carley over night (19months old). She sleeps at my moms alot because we live nearby, and she can't get enough of her. And yesterday she bought her literally the fall wardrobe. So we are very grateful. Grandparents are the best, and they want whats best for the babies as much as we do. It's amazing, our children are loved so much by the grandparents
