LOL, this is funny. The topic of peeps came up yesterday at work and a co-worker mentioned that peeps actually blow up like balloons if you put them in the microwave. So I went home, picked up a box of peeps and started my project thinking that my creation would be awesome. So I nuked the peeps and watched. Yeah they blow up like balloons, but remember, I nuked a whole box, they kept on expanding and expanding, then they popped. It was a total mess to clean up, that dry sparkly sugar sticks to everything, plus the microwave stunk. It took like an hour to clean it and the microwave still has a funny smell.

yeah i microwaved one but all ti did was strecth it out then deflate again back to normal size

haha!! Yeah I found out last year that you can only do 1 at a time. This was told to me by my son who loves to sit there and watch them blowup...that's how we made the s'more's peep!

I had them in there for a long time, I was mesmerized by the peep. FW was not home during my experiment, however she did comment about the stench from the microwave.

Well with the lingering peep stink I would assume that eventually your FW will figure out exactly who you are.
I think that it's hysterical you sitting there watching the peeps expand.

If the stench is really bad what you want to do is take a bowl of water and add some lemon and a generous scoop of baking soda.
Run it through for a few min and the stink should be absorbed w/ the soda and fresh smell w/ the lemon.

I was telling my Keith about the PEEP in the hot cholocate and his eyes were wide open I think he wants to try that.
