i don't think this was about attacking someones grammar but about someone pet peeve in grammar...
I didn't see her say anything about OH I HATE WHEN people HERE write your instead of you're in their posts...

it just astounds me that people can take ANYTHING and turn it into drama

actually it was an opinion that someone took personally...which was silly...
and when people didn't understand the things she said...she turned it into drama

but then again NONE of us are strangers to that!

ETA...JEEZ didn't realize that people can't just vent or post things that annoys them now...without someone taking it as an attack on them or a personal criticism

And if it was a speech, dissertation, state of the union address or eulogy...i would hope proper grammar would be used

'Blah blah' is a colloquialism. The laws of grammar still apply when it's used in a sentence.

'U' instead of 'you', '4' instead of 'for' and '2' instead of 'to' or 'too' are perfectly legitimate (and widely) accepted shorhand versions used in chatrooms and on message boards. Terms like LOL, or PIMP are also widey used and accepted by even the most traditional grammarians. Typos and mispunctuations are mistakes everyone makes (especially when typing quickly). Intentional poor grammar is not the same thing at all.
