2 weeks ago my mini dachshund (5 years old) named Lexy ate like 6 pairs of underwear....i knew it was going to be a problem....so i have been watching her very carefully and monday i noticed she couldnt go to the bathroom. I called the vet and i had to take her in. I started hysterical crying because i get separation anxiety when im not with her. Then the vet called me and told me she needed surgery to open her stomach and take out all of her intestines to find the fabric she ate. she had the surgery yesterday and it went fine...but i cant take her home until she has a bowel movement which she still hasnt had. Im ready to committ suicide. i havent ate, slept, or done anything in the past 3 days now. i just want my baby to come home. i cant take it anymore...this is torture.
Ohh I'm so sorry!..............The dog my family had for 15 years just passed away last year and I find myself still looking at pictures of her and crying! I know it's hard but she'll be o.k.!

Thats so sad I would be the same way I have a mini dachshund/chiuaua mix and she is my world!! I feel like crying even more now....our shitzu chew on underwear I find it so gross what is their infatuation with dirty undies!!! I hope she makes a poopie soon and is back with her mommy !!
Thanks...i just cant take it anymore...i need her home. and i feel terrible shes locked in a cage in some strange place. =(

I'm so sorry to hear about your pup. How the heck did she fit 6 pairs of underwear in that tiny little body? I have to tell you though I have a yellow lab and she eats socks and hair rubberbands all the time..and a couple years back she ate a pair of pantyhose and the whole thing came out her back end if you know what I mean and we had to pull it out because it was stuck the whole stocking!
Good Luck I hope she comes home soon...I have a maltese and I know exactly how you feel...when he went in for his 'fixing' surgery I was a mess and that was just overnight.
I thought my dog was the only sicko that did that ... my mini pincsher eats the crotch out of the underwear .. She pulls the hamper down to get them and I get so mad because its starting to get expensive!!!! My yorkie has an infactuation with it to but she doesnt eat them she just licks them lol .... I know its hard being away from your dog they are like your child!!! I love my doggies!! I hope your baby is home soon!!!!!

Thank you guys! You guys should be careful because Lexy has eaten them before and passed them...but this time was unlucky. My vet said he's had to operate on dogs that ate tissues and paper because it gets caught in their intestines. I just got to see her and this is how she looks:
Aww....your dog is adorable! I hope she is OK and that you are OK....I know how horrible it is to not have yor dog around.
My dog had to have a mini surgery because she ate so much of my hair (don't know how) and it couldn't pass.

Im soooo sorry to hear about your puppy
try to relax - im sure she will be fine! I know it's easier said then done but you dont wanna stress yourself out! As for the $$ i know it stinks but you know your baby is worth it!
