My pop is going in the hospital today...

My pop is going in the hospital today...

two of his arteries are blocked, so he needs a stint put in I believe...or angioplasty....

any feedback on these procedures, I know they are somewhat common, I am just worried...

My dad recently had this done, and everything went well, he had a 90% blockage, and was out of the hospital that day, i believe. And his receovery was very quick.

My dad had a heart attack & had angioplasty with a stint put in, he will be fine!

Lucky your pop didn't have a heart attack & they caught the blockage in time.

They go in through the leg & he will be awake for the procedure. My dad actually said he felt a tickle

He was home the next day & was a bit sore on his leg but otherwise fine!

My mom had this done and she was fine. The recovery was very fast.

WOW! Thanks for the quick responses. I do feel a lot better now. I know my poppa will have to stay over night, but recovery should be quick. I am lucky that they found this in time. I appreciate all of the support, you really are wonderful ladies!

he will be fine! My grandpa has a stint that is barely keeping his one artery open and he has been living off that (all others are clogged) for the past alsmot 5 years & he is fine! I'll lift a prayer for him! I'm sure he will be ok!

Well I am back from the hospital, my poppa did great. They put in two stints and they are sending him home tomorrow. I am so glad it went well. Thanks for all the support...
