Goddaughter on her christening! Christian churches do christening's a little differently. basically the baby is prayed for instead of having the water poured on their head.

Well this particular church was a non-denominational christian church. I grew up in the pentecostal religion and it was done the same way. You get 'presented' when you're a baby and they pray for you and the baby's parents make a promise to teach you the word of God. Then when you are about 13 you get baptized and your ENTIRE body is immersed in water. it symbolizes you leaving behind all impurities in the water. It was an incredible experience.
