My Publisher rave!

Original post by DebMaher

First of all, thanks to Julz for helping me with this. I am so excited -- as you can tell from the list of posts I have over this past night (could not sleep at all!! -- having photographer nightmares) anyway, I go to working on a book of our engagement pix and some of the history of our relationship pix wiht My Publisher. The preview looks incredible and once you figure out how to adjust stuff (I am NOT crafty at all) it is incredible. The best part is it is like $20 a book! I may do these for bridal party and parents -- I did FEDEX on the shipping just cause I am so excited to see final product. Anyway, my experience with it is awesome and I will keep you posted about the final product as soon as it gets here.

I think the shutterfly photo books are better quality. I have seen both in person and really liked the shutterfly book. Pictures were so clear. The mypublisher pictures had little lines going through them.

hmmm - interesting - thanks kim! I didn't even know shutterfly did the same thing!

Yes they do and so many colors to choose from for the outside. They have linen, leather, etc. Also have many different layouts and great designs. I have 3 of them with different pictures and I love them.

I got all of my books.
My publisher and shuterfly.
My publisher came out good quality. Some of the photos are smaller than I thought but the images are clear.

Shutterfly was good too but some of the images were lighter than previewed online.

All in all my advice is if you are going to use them..please use extra high resolution photos ..at least scan at 300 not 200 as most scanners are set at. This means it will take longer to download but the product will be better..thats what I did.

Nope, highest resolution digital pics still came out fuzzy and dark. It took about 20 minutes to upload the book (only like 15 pics too) since I use a dial up at home.

They came out great in photos from snapfish though.
