FH just called a few minutes ago and said daisy was in the house and hopped off the stair from the kitchen to our breezeway and must have landed wrong because he heard her 'cry'. She then wasn't walking on her front left leg at all. He just called again and said she's now limping on it...I feel helpless here at work I wanna go home now Should I tell him to bring her to the vet now or wait until I get home 6:00 to see how she's doing then maybe bring her then? I don't know what to do?

Re: My puppy hurt herself...
CALL the vet - see what they say... They may be willing to help over the phone... They may say to do this and if it doesn't work - come in...
Try it!

Re: My puppy hurt herself...
awww im so sorry...you can take her to the vet so she can feel better right away...but she is a puppy and will bounce right back soon. I remember once I had to rush to the vet bc the same thing happened to my ex's dog and well by the time we got to the vet the dog was better but we stayed anyways just in case.

Just watch her for a little bit, Meliss. And call the vet first. They'll let you know if you should bring her in or not.
Poor daisyyyyyyyyy.

Don't worry, this is a puppy thing, they alllll do it, especially my clutzy Lex when I got him...human babies have big heads and the body grows into it, puppies have huge feet (that's why the fall & yelp lol) but they grow into those

Keep an eye on it. Tell Rocco to try and touch her leg and if she cries or backs away than you might want to give the vet a call.
Dogs are way more resilient than we give them credit for. for Daisy-Maisy-Puttin-Head

oh & no need to call a vet unless she's still limping tomorrow, it's like stubbing your toe, you limp around from the sharpness~

Aw, sounds a bit like what happened to my pup. He broke his one of his toes on his paw. I would watch your dog carefully but definetly talk to the vet.

He can touch her leg without her pulling away so I guess that is kind of good.
Uh oh looks like Daisy is on her way to having a name like your old doggie lol, just a few more names and she'll have just as many!

LOL! First, it was my cat... Second, every pet is a 'Puttin-head'... LOL!!! Cooper-Wooper-Puttin-Head'... Harvey-Warvey-Puttin-Head (for Bonnie! LOL).
Yeah if he can touch it and squeeze it and she doesn't flinch or cry or nip, she's fine. Cooper sometimes lands funny and will limp around and I swear he does it just for the attention... LOL!

Thank you everyone for the replies, I really appreciate it...I get totally nervous when things like this happen (you can all imagine that I'm no help and the worst in emergency situations).

Awwww....poor puppy!!! I'm sure she will be fine. Sidney just turned 6 months and now has learned to jump onto the couch, the bed and the bench swing in the back yard. She climbs up with her toys and gets so excited and into her toys and doesn't even notice she is near the edge and falls off....but she gets right back up again. That's what puppies do!! I get just as scared as you do. As long as she allows you to touch and move her paw she will be fine!

Oh no!! i dont want to scare you but something simialr happened to my dog when she was a baby.. we thought she just had hip displasia took her to the vet and it was broken. she had been walking and ruinning on it for a month.. my dig doesnt ever show pain. so def bring her to the vet and get it checked out My dig ended up needed 2 pins in her leg and had to go to an orthopedic surgoen.
I hope its just a sprain and she is ok!!! keep us updated!!
