My registry was only finished last week. My wedding is not until 7/31/09. I haven't even given my mom the list of people to invite but someone has purchased off of my registry already! I think it was my FMIL, FSIL, or maybe Fh's Aunt. Maybe my mom. Someone like that who would know. But how crazy is that?
I did tell my mom to tell people some stuff went on sale if they want to buy early but I doubt she did...

We registered about a month after getting engaged, and we had FOUR things purchased off of them within a week of finishing. They were engagement/housewarming gifts. FMIL sent us something off of the registry for V-day as well.
People love registries, so it's really not that unusual.

It's def. not a housewarming gift because we've owned our place for a year. It's probably bc that stuff is on sale!

That happened to us too, when we first looked online to fix something we thought something was wrong because things were missing then we realized they were bought. Some people like to buy early so that they can be sure they get you the gift the really want.
