My rehearsal / dinner was tonight!! (LONG)

It was FUN! I got a little nervous at the church, but I also got more excited. It felt so REAL. The dinner was hosted by my future in-laws. They are SOOOO great! I am so lucky to have such a caring and generous mother-in-law. Anyway, it was at Runyons in Seaford...good food!!! I highly recommend the restaurant...we were in the atrium, which was beautiful. I handed out the gifts to everyone ( i love making people happy! what a good feeling to give gifts!) I'll tell you what I got everyone.

BM: white gold huggies (all different)
MOH: white gold bracelet
GM: flasks engraved with their initials
Best Man: watch
FG's: those gorgeous silver heart shaped boxes from Things Remembered (w/ swarovski cystals?) with their names engraved.
Parents: we gave both parents picture frames to hold the 8x10 they will receive after the wedding. We got my parents tickets to a Broadway show, and his parents a gift certificate to this yuppie restaurant.

Also, right before the dinner I got the best news...FH and I are struggling to pay for this wedding (we're paying for half) and his mom told us she is paying for basically everything that we were supposed to pay for. All we have to pay for is the photographer and the honeymoon! YAHOOO!!!! I am sooo relieved. We did not want to start off our life together in debt. And now we don't have to! Can I say it again...I AM SO LUCKY!

Love
melissa

I had mine tonight too. Everyone loved the gifts and the room in the restaurant was so pretty with the candles. It was a very nice night. I was a little nervous when I walked in the church, but I calmed myself down and I was ok. So glad your night went well. All the best to you.

Walking down the isle was ok. I think I felt a little emotinal when I actually walked in the church itself. Who knows how I feel the day of actually walking down the isle. I have feared all along losing it when I do.
