My Resignation (if you care)
OK - so as you know, I was ALL scared to go into the new job to resign this morning. Then, late last night, my school district called at asked if I could proctor the AP's today starting at 11:15. So, I decided since I had to drive up to the North Shore to proctor anyway, I might as well go into the new job today. So, I was SO SCARED when I went in this morning.
The mean boss is ALL mean to me because she CLAIMS that she didn't get my voice mail yesterday when I called in sick. She was like 'What happened to YOU' - all nasty! (the fact that she was so nasty to me confirmed that I def should quit)!
I told her how I left her a VM at 7:20 in the morning and she total gave me fishy eyeball like she didn't believe me. Hello - I'm an adult - I just don't play hooky!!
If she was so concerned, she could have called me!
So, then, since she was already being a beyoth I just took a deep breath, asked her to talk for a minute, and explained that I was resigning and here is my letter and I didn't feel the office was a good match, blah blah blah. So, she didn't seem surprised so I don't know if HR called her yesterday (after I called them) or if she could just tell I was unhappy.
I was in and out in literally 5 minutes!!
Then, to top it all off, I got two calls from school districts today for interviews!!
That totally confirms I made the right decision to quit because I could never manage all the interviews and the job!!
I feel like a HUGE weight is lifted off my shoulders!!
Thanks for the support!!![]()
