my review
Okay, so i have been back from my honeymoon for 5 days. i need to get this review started.
Ventian Yacht Club A++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
I could not ask for more. the hall was absolutely beautiful. I had upstairs cocktail, downstairs as my main, and the side room with the retractable door for vienesse. Daisy was the best BM ever. She went above and beyond her services. I was so glad to see her at the affair. Tom my maitre'd was fabulous. he had everything down pat and made sure everything was perfect. Lorraine was my BA she was super. one of my bustle loops broke, and she took down the bustle, and put it back up with the broken one, as it looked before. she was on top of us whenever we needed anything. The food in the cocktail hour was set up beautiful, and there was just so much of it. The courses went smoothly and the food was delicious. The vienesse hour was the best one ever. chocolate fountain with anything u could imagine (even rice krispy treats), cotton candy machine, candy apples, hot large pretzels, a candy station, ice cream station, waffles, flambe, and so much more. it was absolutely outrageous. The waitstaff was unreal and everyone there went above and beyond my expectations. If you didnt book your wedding yet, i would say do it. If you did book there, you ahve absolutely nothing to worry about.
Weather - F------------------
it didnt start to rain until my dad and i walked out of the house. so no pics infront of the house. while in church it was nice. once we stepped out it was drizzling. we get to old westbury gardens for pics and it begins to down pour. no pics outside there either. go to the hall and it is still raining. i think it finally stopped halfway through the reception.
Lestan's - A
i got my dress, my bm dresses, moh dress, and flower girl dress there. everything went well. they were very accommodating to my girls who lived fair. Abby is the best. she is so sweet and helpful. The only thing that went wrong was the dyebale bags i bought my girls, came in wrong twice. Eva who is so great, made the bag two-tone the way it was supposed to be, by using the girls dress material. they look perfect. i have to say it was a great experience overall.
Church- A-
The rh went fast, so i didnt remember much. THe deacon gave a great ceremony. the church was beautiful. my downfall was that the deacon called me and my dad up to early, so i didnt walk into here comes the bride, which really bothered me, because every little girl dreams of that moment. i knew it when it was happening, but my dad was pulling me. i didnt want to become bridezilla so i just went with it.
Dynasty Limo- A
They were all clean limos with ac. the drivers were professional and came early and prepared. they were very nice. all 3 limos were great, as well as both pu/do limos. they would have received an A+, but i didnt want alcohol in the limos and there was alcohol, which some drank. no one got trashed, but the whole point was, that i didnt want anyone drinking before church or my pics. all was fine though. They were very flexible and easy to work with.
Pedestals- A++++++++++++++++
First of all i love Robert. i didnt like my first sample cp, so he made me another one that i couldnt have asked for anything more beautiful. the day of, the driver dropped them off on time, i didnt like my moh bouquet. do you know that they sent someone to my house to fix it. i thought now this is amazing customer service. all of the other flowers were great. the church looked amazing. the ch had floating candles, and the cps were outrageous. pedestals is definitely by far the way to go for flowers..
Hair By Diana- A-
She arrived early, and was well prepared. my sister's hair is very thick, but her curls fell out before the reception started. i had one curl hanging that i wasnt crazy about, and i have one frizzy section that should have been pasted down more. My mom looked great, my niece looked like a true princess. my hair looked amazing (even with those little things). she even stayed until after i put my dress on, so she could put the veil on for me. she is so personable and professional. i would recommend her, but not to recommend curls on long thick hair in the summer,
Tina (make-up)- A-
she did a very nice job. i am not a make up person and she made me look great. my sister who is very critical also liked her. she put a little make up on my niece who loved it. the day of went well, i just felt it was a bit pricey.

She was amazing. she did my tags for the oot bags for the hotel. She made my menu cards as well. she is extremely reasonable and great to work with. I also purchased my shower thank-yous from her. absolutely enjoyable to work with.
Rantin and Raven- B-
Before the wedding it would have been an A. the day of and since it was far from. i booked the owner and he did not come. I wasnt told until i asked where he was. my dedication song to my deceased grandfather was never played. i got the excuse that his didnt work, he sent my bm out to get it a few towns over (thanks again Daisy), and then couldnt find an appropriate time to play it. I feel that song should have been prepared before hand. I felt like all of my vendors went well beyond my expectations except this one. The harpist and sax player were great, i just wasnt crazy about the mc. they were just okay, i am not saying they were bad, just not as great as i expected.
The Envelope Please- A+
Cookie was a doll. i got my save the dates, invitations, and programs from her. there was a mix up with my programs and she took care of it, even though it was my fault. she is great to work with and i would recommed her to all.
Sandals Regency St. Lucia- A+++++
It was gorgeous. the flights went well and we had an amazing time. the service was outrageous, and everyone was so friendly. i hope to be able to go back soon.
Christine from Ocean's Aweigh- A+++++++++
I love her. she was the best travel agent ever. when prices went down, she called to tell me the new lower price, she checked on air fare all of the time. She lets you pay in installments or anyway you want. she took care of honeymoon registry for me. she is very professional, but also you dont feel like just anyone. she knows u by first name. i have a travel agent for life.
Although the weather and a few other obstacles got in the way, i married the man of my dreams and had the most amazing wedding and hoenymoon i could have ever imagined. Thanks to my family (mom and dad i couldnt have done it without you), friends, and the advice and ideas from all of my nycitywedding girls.
