My RH drama - resolved?

So, as most of you read... I came home late Friday night to read a post on here about my RH (Tall Grass) canceling all Oct weddings. I was really upset but hopeful that it wasn't true.

But, after calling them first thing Sat. morning... I found out it was true and they would be giving me all my money back. Then, they called me back and said no they aren't canceling the Oct. weddings and I am not getting my money back. Then, they said I had to wait till Monday to talk to the manager.

So, I got a call Sunday morning from the manager and he offered me a full refund plus the cost of my invites. Which I happily accepted but, they are mailing me out a check so I have to wait a little bit to get the money back. So, I found a new hall yesterday (Mill Pond CC) and they are honoring my full contract from Tall Grass. So, I am really excited. The manager there (Janet) made me feel so much better and I really feel like everything is going to be much better now! This whole weekend was one big emotional roller coaster

So, hopefully my RH drama is now over with...and as long as I get my refund soon... I can say I am happy with the way Lessings handled this situation. I do wish they had called me to let me know... instead of having to hear about it on a wedding forum. But, it really isn't their fault that Tall Grass is closing. Now, I just need my invites reprinted and everything will be perfect again!

Don't worry about that. Call your invite company, explain the situation, and ask them to send you an itemized invoice / receipt, showing it's been paid and how. I am sure they will oblige, esp. when they hear they are getting MORE $ for the reprint.

So happy to hear things have fallen into place for you!! I had a feeling it would.

lol I emailed them and they are out of the office till the 21st... but they said they will send it to me after they get back... so hopefully tall grass will just accept my order confirmation as proof and we can be done with this. I can't wait to get my invites done!

I am not sure if this was in the deal that you made, but are they going to pay for your stamps as well?

Luckily, I didn't seal or stamp the envelopes yet so, once I have the invites reprinted... i am all set. If I get that done in the next week and a half... I can send them out on time too!

Thanks! Everyone was actually commenting on how calm I was about everything. Although you could tell I was really stressed (my face broke out and had a ton of red dots all over)... I didn't freak out and scream at anyone. I thought I would cry too... but that didn't even happen. I guess I am really starting to believe that everything happens for a reason
