yes I know! I would never get a guard I have heard bout those....the balls though, who would have thought.

can you just go to any jeweler and get balls added?? And how long does it usually take?
See I refuse to give my ring up for more than a day. FH got my ering at Zales and has insurance and stuff on it which allows for free resizing for like 5 yrs...but every Zales tells me I will have to leave it with the jeweler for 9 days Thats ridic so if I can get balls thats good!!!'

I have balls! lol. My ring still turns but it's because my knuckles are larger than the area of the finger where the ring sits so the ring has to be a little big. You really don't feel the balls and it works for most people, I just had an odd situation.
i have the same problem! so i've got balls too... but my ring still turns oh well, i still love it

I feel kinda weird just going to a jeweler and asking for him to give me some balls...on my ring of course
DO they have a specific name besides balls so I dont embarass myself in front of a jeweler when I ask lol??

Balls are great...they just soder (or however you spell that) them into the inside of the ring. Ring guards can scratch your ring so balls are the best way to go
YuP!!! I have them too. i didn't want to get my ring sized bc my finger is a 4!!! And i just cant see being pregnant and gaining wait and my ring size still being a 4...LoL so i just got the balls bc you can take them out. I went to my jeweler to have the balls put in (not FH's jeweler) and he wanted to kill me!!!! Be careful bc I have pavet diamonds all around my band and the jeweler 'sodered' the white gold on some of my diamonds. It is not noticable but FH's jeweler saw it and got mad!!! Oops!!!!

FH and i went to his jeweler and he put the balls on for me that day. i left the ring there and just picked up like 4 hours later and it it was done. he didnt charge me and he did a good job. he def. would have told FH if he thought it was a bad idea. at first it felt funny but now the ring fits so much better. if you are going to get them just make sure you go toa place with a good reputation.

Be careful when you go to get the balls...You really need to be specific...I took my ring somewhere and asked for balls after a few minutes I got a really weird feeling and asked to speak witht he jeweler and reiterated that I wanted balls not a guard, he then says, we don't do that....so be very careful.

Also, i had a peice of white gold sodered on to my ring, which thickens the band... it basically is like putting a band on top of the band to make it smaller. Does that make sense? i am too lazy to search for pics....
