doesn't allow the kids or faculty to wear Halloween costumes...it is my first year in this building and I couldn't believe that in an elementary school they are not having a Halloween parade and everything...last year when I taught middle school I dressed up!!! I can't believe it!!!!

my (middle) school doesn't allow costumes either. the kids aren't even allowed to put color spray in their hair. this year, halloween coincides w/ spirit week, so the kids sorta get to dress up.

Thats my friend's school also and I think that's really sad it made school fun for one day. She said she can't even give anyone candy!

Mine doesnt allow us either...this year each kid picked a vocabulary word from their lists and has to make a hat out of it...mine is 'Noisy' lol

Geez...I remember bobbing for apples at our Halloween parties. I seemed to survive that germfest quite well.
HA! My school defies all rules! I'm dressing up, so are the kids, AND I'm baking cupcakes for each class!

my sisters is in high school and just came home said on halloween kids aren't allowed to wear hats, costumes or anything halloween related and teachers cant have parties or give out candy. whats going on??

I know it is nuts... I agree that I wouldn't want to be a kid now!
All these crazy peanut allergies and not dressing up on Halloween...I can kind of see not allowing older kids to dress up because of fear of inappropriate costumes...but even that....last year at my middle school the kids were tame and they had fun and their costumes were really cute!
