My September 22 wedding
It was everything I had imagined over an entire year of planning! Church- Church of the Resurrection, Farmingville Limos- LL Paradise Limos. Great service, beautiful cars, extremely nice drivers. My husband and I were in their Rolls Royce Silver Cloud. Reception- The Mansion at LaSalle Academy, St. John's University. Having our wedding here was the best decision we made! The Mansion and its views are breathtaking, and the food and staff were wonderful! I hope to attend someone else's wedding there. DJ- Al Cazz Production. Mark and I spent 2 hours going over a play list with him and he didn't play half the stuff we wanted. Not recommended. Photographer- Mark Kauffman Photography. We had Jody and the fine art photographer, Jack. They were wonderful to work with and must have taken at least 1000 pictures. In fact, they suggested the bridal party play soccer on the field behind the Mansion. My friend said it looked like a Ralph Lauren commercial. I can't wait to see the proofs. Video- through Mark Kauffman. Brian was very nice and I can't wait to see the video. Flowers- Bayport Flower Houses- The most beautiful flowers I have ever seen. I had lots of red roses, and fall inspired flowers. The bouquet were red roses with berries. Absolutely georgeous. Our guests were saying they were the nicest centerpieces. Gizbert is wonderful and very inspired. Hotels for guests- Best Western in Holtsville and the Comfort Inn in Medford. The Best Western was great to work with and all of my guests were very happy. I would not recommend using The Comfort Inn. They messed up reservations, didn't give out some of the welcome baskets I made, and gave wrong information about the buses we made available. I think that covers it. If anyone wants phone number, don't hesitate to contact me. And remember, have a blast planning it!!!!!!!

Any 'monday morning quarterback' advise for brides who are still planning? Things to look out for? Things to make sure that we do?

It is the best and fasted day of your life, so remember every second of the day. Make sure you know what is important, like family. I started off the day kissing everyone in my family, and then going for a jog. It helped to calm my nerves and reflect on what was about to happen. I know everyone says not to worry about the little things, but after a year of planning, you're bound to. Just don't worry about it for more than 15 seconds. Ask the maitre'd or a friend to fix something, and more than likely, it will be done in a flash. If you're still not satisfied, get over it, because you want to remember the good and important things about your day. And it's likely that no one else will notice but you. But the most important thing that past brides never mention, is how difficult it is to go to the bathroom. I only went once after I put on my gown, and it took 2 bridemaids to help lift my dress up. I felt like I was drowning in a sea of crinoline. So, don't drink very much!!!!

Congratulations! Your flowers sound beautiful - do you have any pictures of the red roses with berries? This is one of the ideas I was thinking of.

Flower Ideas
I haven't yet, but I will post as soon as I can. I know I'm biased, but they were the most beautiful bouquets I have ever scene! My bridesmaid wore a cashmere color and the red roses against their dresses was very dramatic. The bouquets were made up with 2 different shades of red roses, and some of their green foliage, not much. But what made them so different was the berries. My bouquet was just like the BM's, but slightly larger and with some ivory colored roses. I highly recommend Bayport Flower Houses. I also suggest you visit www.romanticflowers.com They have lots of examples of different bouquets with very bold colorsand different flowers. There is one bouquet called the Venetian that is made with Black magic Roses and dark feathers. I have tons of ideas too, so let me know if you need a suggestion.Welcome New Vendors
