My Shower 6/30 (LONG)

Well I just got back from a week off of work, and the main reason we took off was for the shower. I live in NC so the shower was not a surprise but it was so lovely. So overwhelming. It really was. There were about 25-30 people and my Maid Of Honor's parents hosted it at their home. Friends of my family made this beautiful chair for me sit on while opening gifts, and my goodness there were so many gifts. We could not fit them all in the car back to North Carolina! Some of my family never made it because they got stuck in major traffic coming in from NJ. SO I was very upset. Probably a good note to make sure folks coming in from NJ or out of town the day of the wedding (if it's a Saturday) to be prepared for traffic, especially during the summer. They may want to come out a day early or leave extra time for traveling to the wedding. Then my BMs took me out to Carolines Comedy Club on Broadway in the city. It was sooo much fun. They made me wear all of this crazy stuff, veil, headband, buttons, and a shirt with candies stuck on it and it was 'Suck for Buck' for all the guys. You probably get the picture. I was the main attraction for all of the comedians and they had a good time picking on me, I LOVED IT! It was a great way to spend time with my BM's without having to go to a club and get drunk. I much prefered the comedy to a hang over the next morning. Hope you all have a great Shower and bachelorette party. Be prepared, it's overwhelming and exhausting but so worth it!
