My shower

My Princess Bride themed shower was this weekend! My best friend and two bridesmaids went above and beyond it was amazing! Every little detail was thought of. Everyone wore name tags that said 'Hello, my name is ____ you ____ my ____, prepare to ____.' (If you're into the princess bride, that makes sense, lol). I'm overwhelmed by everyone's love and generosity, it was the best day! To say it poured is an understatement, since it literally did pour on Saturday, lol!!! I don't have any pics yet, some on FB that I was tagged in, but I didn't take a single one! Lol!!

Thank you! I wasn't surprised. I had kind of figured it out a week or so before. But, so much effort went into it, I was so happy with what my girls had done. I'm so grateful and so over the moon excited for the wedding now.

BUT - there's always disappointments. My SIL (older brothers wife) didn't come and didn't even RSVP. My mom had to track her down to RSVP and then she didn't even give a reason. Just, oh I must have lost the invitation, sorry can't make it. A lot of people didn't come, most sent a gift with someone else, but everyone who couldn't make it has texted or seen me in person and said 'so sorry, hope it was a great time' NOT my SIL. Haven't heard from her at all. It's disappointing. PS: I haven't received their RSVP for the wedding yet either. They say weddings (and funerals) really bring out peoples true colors. I'm really starting to find that's true.
