My Shower!! (long)

I just had to tell you guys that my shower was on Saturday and I had the BEST time! What a fantastic day!! I have been so tired and stressed and overwhelmed with everything - wedding, new house, work, and this was a beautiful, relaxing day! My Mom did everything herself (but with plenty of great help from my sister the MOH). The party was in a restaurant in Brooklyn. There were about 35 people - including some friends I haven't seen in years! The nicest part was just spending an afternoon socializing with friends and family...I was too excited to eat much, but drank plenty of wine and just plain old enjoyed myself. We got beautiful beautiful gifts and I'm not sure what we will do with everything - I'm out of space already!! I really need to buy more furniture - especially a dining room set. Oh! And in case anyone needs an idea for a favor - my Mom got silver and gold plated ice cream scoops - really heavy ones and they are engraved on the back. Everyone seemed to love them! Sorry to babble on and on but I had such a great day - enjoy your showers ladies! Forget the planning for one day and just enjoy yourself! Now - it hit me this morning - 32 days to go!! OH MY GOD!!!

Lee, your shower sounds wonderful! Mine was last weekend, and my big day is 27 days away. I know just how you feel - having the shower really elevates the excitement level and makes you realize just how close the wedding date is. Enjoy the fun!
