My shower - review of strathmore vanderbilt cc as well :) (LONG)
My shower was yesterday and it was BEAUTIFUL.
I know that alot of you are in the process of planning a shower so I will be detailed in the hopes of helping others!!!
My mom hosted the shower but my bridal party (except one) worked SO HARD to make the day special! My favorite flower is sunflowers so there were sunflower centerpieces and sunflowers decorated all the the little extras like the small baskets for the recipe cards (that were in the invitation) and the basket for the advice for bride cards (that the guests filled out while they waited for me), the table where pictures of FH and i were displayed and the wicker hamper that served as the 'wishing well.' At each table, one of the guests had a 'lucky you' paper under their glass and this guest won the centerpiece to take home. The room looked ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL when i walked in. there was a table of pictures and the invitation to the shower was framed as well. there was also pictures of my mom at her shower which i LOVED!!! I'm not really into any games but - they did have a timer set and guests won a gift if their gift was being opened while I was opening presents. The gifts were SOOO nice! My maid of honor and bridesmaids baked cookies for everyone and chocolate dipped strawberries and apricots which were a HUGE hit! My flower girl also baked black and white cookies which everyone loved. THe favors were heart shaped cookie cutters that were attached to a tent shaped heart-cut out card with a recipe and the front said my name and the shower date. there were also heart shaped cookies that said my name and FH's name also with the decoration of the sunflower that my mom had specially made. There is so much more but I think this is long enough!

WONDERFUL. The service was FANTASTIC. the servers were constantly refilling drinks and asking guests if they wanted another drink. As for lunch - we had a salad, choice of salmon or chicken and desert - chocolate mousse with handmade crust and a flower/heart design in white chocolate - the food was TERRIFIC...everyone commented on this. There was champagne(for a toast) and mamosas for everyone that were constantly refilled. Everything about Strathmore was flawless. Feel free to FM me if you have any questions.
