So, as we all know, my shower was Saturday! I knew about it in advance b/c I'm OOT and work on weekends a lot, so I picked the date to guarantee I would be home! I was a little nervous about it, but it worked out well. It was also nice knowing about it in advance so that my MOH and BM who came from OOT also could come on Friday night (when FH and I came) and we got to hang out more than we would have if I didn't know about the shower in advance!
Anyway, the shower was at my Aunt's house in Smithtown. My MOB, FMIL, MOH & BM made all the appetizers & desserts, and they had the main course (buffet) catered by Venezia Restaurant in Smithtown (http://www.veneziarestaurant1.com/. The food was really good! We had Chicken Piccata, Eggplant Parmesan, and Rigatoni Primavera, plus Italian Bread, Foccacia, and Garden Salad.
We got tons of gifts, even many from people who weren't there! My FGs loved helping open presents! Here are a few pics:
Congrats on your shower. Looks like you had a great time! You looked very pretty!

thanks girls!! Also forgot to mention, FFIL made a dvd with a movie of photos and videos of me growing up, FH growing up, and then us together.....it had me tearing up (some videos of my and my grandpa, set to the song I'm dancing with my dad to!!!) and laughing too (soooo many videos of FH falling on his butt and silly things like that!!)

haha I know my mom made the ironing board! Mine actually had me on the other side (I didn't post the pic before, here it is below!). My mom also embroidered our names on the aprons!!
