My shower was today! Now with pics.

I was mostly surprised (cuz wedding is still 3 1/2 months away so it seems kinda early) but when fiance said he wanted to go out for a nice lunch (we are really in $ saving mode so this made no sense)and get info for r-dinner I got suspicious. He INSISTED - to the point where we were arguing that I wear a sun dress. I really wanted to go to the beach and it was such a great beach day I knew something was up.

I didn't exactly know where we were going. It was at Waterzooi in Garden City. I think there was another shower happening next door in Victory - was it for one of you LIW Girls?

Fantastic brunch and so many family and friends. I got so much stuff from our registry. Beautiful Wishingwell and a ton of recipes including a coveted secret cheesecake recipe that I have been begging for for years.

My BM's put together a fantastic basket of candles with a poem that tells us when to burn them. Wedding night, anniversaries, baby, things like that. FM me if you want to see poem.

I hope everyone's shower is a nice as mine was. It's still kinda hitting me that it happened.

YEA congrat's, glad you had a good time. Not that I was trying to find out when my shower is, but I do know.... Sept 5th, just around the corner.... I am excited! But I have to act 'surprised ' Glad you had a nice day for it.

This is the candle poem they used. I love all the candles.
