My sister and BIL splitting up

My sister and BIL have been together for 16 years (married for 13) and they have 2 daughters, 7 and 3.
They have been having troubles for quite a while, and my sister told me today that they are over.
I have SUCH mixed emotions. I am SUPER close with my sister, my neices, and had been with my BIL. We are a very close family, and my BIL was a part of it. I feel TERRIBLE for my sister. She is trying to put up a brave front, but I know she's a wreck. I am very upset with my BIL, but a stupid part of me feels like he's been part of the family for so long that it's hard to 'hate' him (even thought I want too)
I am devastated for my neices (who don't know yet)

Oh I am so sorry divorce is such a hard thing as you know. I know what you mean about hating him but not wanting to.

I am very sorry to hear that this is the decision your sis and BIL have settled upon. Based upon the nature of their problems (from your previous posts) it is probably for the best. I know it will be difficult for your sister and the children, but I know that you will be a strong, supportive sister and aunt for them!!
