My sister is getting married -

In August and we need to get things together.
She wants to have it in her backyard - she and her fiance have some really nice property.

Here's the deal - she wants it simple but elegant - who doesn't - and they don't have a whole lot of money.

Among the host of things we need to get done is an officiant
chair and table rentals
linen rentals
a caterer that will do outside affairs


Any ideas?

Find a caterer that will also bring tables and chairs.

Oriental trading has a catalog with all kinds of things for at-home weddings. I recommend trying to get a copy.

How many people are coming? There should a bathroom for every 30 people (so you might need port-a-johns). How big is the house? Can you fit everyone inside if there is bad weather? If not, you will have to look into getting a waterproof tent. Since it's August, if it doesn't rain the sun will be glaring.

It's just going to be about 20 people. VERY small. Just immediate family.
