my sister's shower...some good ideas!

My sister's shower was today. WONDERFUL. Shes getting married in January. Some cute things:

A case of wine, each labeled w. a different 'event'
First Anniversary, Purchase of House, First Christmas, First Makeup after First Fight, Night when Hubby is playing cards. There was a sparkling cider for 'First Baby Announcement' and champagne for First New Years

Valentine Day Kit:
Flannel pajama top w. crotchless thong panties
Whipped body cream
toasting glasses filled w. hershey kisses
edible undies
CD's
Candles
Champagne

Waffle Kit
Waffle Iron, maple syrup, cookbook, flannels for him and her

Ring boxes monogrammed to keep them in at night

Just some cute things since I know we are always on the lookout!

Oh! And I got her all her baking stuff from her registry and wrapped each thing individually, and stacked it all as a 'cake'.

We did the wine for my cousins wedding present last novemeber. We also purchased her a mohagany wine cabinet and put all the wine in it. We went to a pet store and got silver collar tags and then engraved the tags with the event got a really nice piece of string and hung them around the neck of each bottle...just another variation if anyone is thinking of doing this. So far they drank their first christmas one, first new years, my sisters wedding ( we got bottles for each of our weddings: mine, my sisters and hers since we are all like sisters) next month she will drink the one for the birth of her first son and at the same time one for her first house (she cant drink it yet cause she is still preggo)
