is reliable? is safe?

I have a Nissan Maxima and it is fabulous...I put a lot of milage on it and i have had no REAL issues with it other than brakes

I love my Honda Civic. I have had no problems with it since I got it new in '99. Last year I was going to get a Jetta but friends who had them have had many more problems than with the Civic, so I think I'll just get another new Civic soon.

I have a Ford Focus- the hatch back.
I have had not one problem with it and I've had it since 2000 and it now has 67k miles on it.
they are super affordable and I find it fun to drive.

my next car will probably be a hybrid but I don't know much about them.

I know consumer reports rates the Toyota very high.

i have a nissan sentra and really have no complaints about it. some small issues, like the battery, but thats not unusual for any car

I have had everything lol. I am on my 9th car right now....I think...9th or 10th. Anyway...Right now I have a 2001 Chevrolet Prizm which is made by Toyota. The whole car is made by toyota with the exception of the headlights, radio, taillights, and some other little things....but the motor and transmission are all Toyota....which is why I bought the car.

I have had hondas, fords, buicks, Plymouths, and I have to say that this is the best car I have owned. In the past two years I have owned it, I have not had any problems with it....Knock on wood. It rides excellent and it is pretty comfortable for a small car....It is also good on gas.

I bought the car in 2003 for $9300 with 19k on the odometer, and now it has 43k miles....

I would recommend buying one....2002 was the last year for the car to be made though.

Have a 97 Mercury Sable (upgraded to the Gold package...ooooo )

It has about 76,500 miles on it, got new tires once, brakes once, and I change oil every 5,000 miles.

Bought it used from some old guy who was divorcing his wife - paid $2,500 for it 2 yrs ago when it only had 50,000 miles!!!

eta: FH has had 2 Chevy Monte Carlos. The first one, a 96, was totaled when someone ran a red light. He walked away from the accident without a scratch. The car did exactly what it was supposed to do - the front crunched, but the cab was 100% protected. Both airbags deployed.

He bought a NEW 2003 Monte Carlo (supersport!!!) right after he totaled the other one, and OMG what a hot car. Love everything about it - I feel VERY safe it in. My only complaint is that the doors are very heavy!

i LOVE my 2004 corolla. you can seriously beat these cars up and they seem to love the abuse. seriously, we've had it for 6 months and have already put over 13,000 miles on it. but, the car runs great - i love it!!!!!!

toyota makes cars that run forever and a day and this is no excpetion. so long as you do the scheduled maintenance they will supposedly outlast just about anything.

I have a 2004 Civic and I have had NO problems with it at all. It gets amazing gas mileage and is just all around a great car. Would definitely recommend.

We have a 14 year old Accord. It's our only car so it has its fair share of miles. It's in perfect condition except that the paint has become dull, which irks DH much more than me.

We are dying for a hybrid but can't see getting rid of this car while it still runs so well.

I've got a Mitshubishi Lancer and I love it. My brother and friend also drive them and have no problems in the 4 years we've each had our cars.

I have a 2003 Corolla and I love it- no problems at all (I'm probably jinxing myself, huh?)

FH has a 2002 Jetta and it has been nothing but problems. I have never seen so many recalls on anything in my life...and it's always AFTER FH has had the problem with his car---windows fall in, brake issues- nothing good.

I'm not an american car person. I LOVE eurpoean cars, expecially since you're looking for something small. I LOVE my 2000 Bug. When I finally decide to grow up, I'll probably get a Jetta

I have had 2 Hondas and both have been superb so far (knock on wood.) They handle well and rarely, if ever have even a minor problem.

I had a Honda Civic that I loved then I bought a Mitsubishi Galant. I don't care for the Galant as much as the civic. I wish I would have went for the x-tra $$ and went for a Honda Accord.

FH has a Subaru that we love!! It has been excellent with all the snow this winter. All Wheel Drive is great.

On the one hand, I would never buy American. My Plymouth Neon is sort of sucky. But then again, DH had an eleven year old Buick with over 150,000 miles on it. It still runs.

My next car will be a Honda or a Toyota, and on the small side since I will still have to squeeze into small spots when parking at my job.

I have a Rav 4. I love it. Toyotas are the best. I had a corolla before this one. I wouldn't mind a Honda either.

Dh wants to look into getting a hyundai santa fe... don't know why he wants to change, but whatever.
