I took my son for presurgical testing today he is only 3 but so tough he didnt even cry when they took his blood. He is having a partial adenoidectomy and his tonsils removed. I am soo nervous for my lil boy. I don't want him to be in pain My older son and him are the best boys. I am such a lucky mom.
Good luck! He will be fine...I had my tonsils removed when I was 4 and I only remember good things...lots of ice cream and popsicles!!!

Its gonna be scary but it will be worth it...they dont do that surgery unless neccessary! I had the same surgery but they didnt do it until I was a senior in HS and it should have been done earlier! I wish I had it when I was young.
They say the recovery is worse when ur older, but it wasnt even that bad! The first day : came home from hospital slept for a loongggg time, and from then on I was on the couch watching TV...the worst part of it is the taste in ur mouth!!! The pain wasnt even that bad..I think I took the codeine once the whole time!
Everyone recovers differently but you will be there every step of the way for ur son and he will enjoy all the ice cream and attention and u will help him thru the yucky taste and pain!
I get sick hardly ever now!! And even more rare is a sore throat which I used to get ridiculously often!!!
its normal to be scared and worried ur a mom!

So adorable. I feel so bad for him but Im sure everything will be fine Icouldnt imagine as a parent wait for my lil on to have surgery. Hang in there.

Girl, I hear your pain. Both my lil ones had to have minor surgery when they were 3 month. They were both born with an extra digit on their hands. Its very minor but non the less a surgery. I cried throughout the whole process. Stay strong.

I can't even imagine what you are going thru. I have 2 little girls and as a parent you would do anything to go thru these things so your kids don't have to. Just try and think about how incredibly resilient kids are, its pretty amazing! I hope everything goes perfectly and he bounces back quickly!!!!

omg ur kids are CUTE!!!!!! they have such pretty eyes!!!!! I remember when I was a little girl, my tonsils would bother me constantly and got swollen constantly to the point that I couldn't even swallow my own saliva, I used to hate it!

Thanx Everyone His surgery is in 2 weeks and I'm a nervous wreck seeing him getting the presurgical testing yesterday I just felt so badly. I will let you all know how it goes after the surgery.
