the lady was so adorable over the phone...i called yesterday bc we had the money now and i wanted to make the donation. so i was like well is there a minimum and she goes yes...$ 30!!! i was like oh, well we are giving more than that! so she said that we will get ribbons with individual cards for our guests
anywho, Support for People with Oral, Head and Neck Cancer (SPOHNC) is an organization that helps cancer patients with various forms of oral head or neck cancer. My dad had squamous cell cancer in his neck and used SPOHNCs support during his battle. We are doing all we can to remember him at the wedding, so this was a no-brainer.
What I wanted to say to everyone, they are having a walk (like the breast cancer one) on May 9th (which was 4 days after my dads bday)...I will be raising money for it, and also if any of you girls want to do the walk to...ill give you more info when i get some!
eta: sorry i was crashing!

Re: my SPOHNC donation
what a great cause and a wonderful way to remember you father on your wedding day while helping people who are in the same situation you and your family were once in.
definitely keep us updated about the walk.
