my 'surprise' shower is giving me anxiety

I generally LIKE surprises but I want to know when the shower is. I just want to be prepared and dressed appropriately. HowEVER, MOB is insiting that I don't know, as well as my BP.

Im actually kinda feeling like the opposite... All this week, Ive been like dreading Saturday... I hate being in the spotlight and knowing its 2 days away gives me more anxiety than probably having it sprung on me

ITA!!! Mine was supposed to be a surprise and then I found out a few weeks before... My anxiety was so much worse when I knew the exact date than if I had no clue when it was coming.

i dont want it to be a surprise, i feel uncomfortable knowing that everytime i go to my sisters in late June/early July, it may be my shower...i actually kinda figured out it was in July, due to my mom slipping...my MOH wants to tell me and I think I want to know...

does anyone else really really not want a surprise??

Calm your cute little butt.. Dont get anxious over it! Make sure to look extra pretty for the next few months incase of any surprises and just go with the flow!! Its supposed to be fun not cause you anxiety.

My mom asked how i was feeling about it today and i told her not good bc of the spotlight thing and she was like 'I KNEW IT!!!' Bring on the bellini's and mimosa's to ease the pain LOL

I dont want mine to be a suprise but I know it means a lot ot everyone else aka my mom, id rather know so I dont have an anxiety attack as well LOL ******** family and there suprises

I dont want it to be a surpise at all!!

My MOH and mom want me to have a surpise but I know the place and I know that it is sometime in Sept! Yesh just tell me already!!!!

I would love to be surprised, but it is nearly impossible to surprise me. I knew when FH was going to propose, I knew about my surprise 30th, and I have a huge hunch of when my shower is going to be.

Many brides give their shower attire to their mom/MOH to bring to the shower, so if they are wearing sweats, they can change into their dress. However, I don't have a solution to if you didn't shave that day. I guess, just make sure you are clean shaved every weekend ;)

I wasnt nervous at all when it was a surprise, just wanted to know when cause I like control, .
But FMIL slipped and now I know when it is and cant wait!!!

I do have to say my mom threw me a great baby shower and didnt even know I was getting one, so she got 1 out of 2

I would have wanted to be surprised but don't really have the choice to have surprises. I live in Cali and had to book my flight back for it, so they kind of had to tell me

Once you get through the first 5 minutes everything else is a BREEZE!!! You will have a blast... Trust me as someone who suffers from uber anxiety it was sooo not worth the stress I caused myself!!

Mines is a surprise and i rather it not be. Im the kind that likes to know everything thats going on .
