my tasting@ Milleridge...? for Laura

We went for our tasting this afternoon and it was excellent! I truly am so confident and not worried because they are true pro's. We loved everything. Picking our appetizer was the hardest part but we went with the penne ala vodka since I'll have about 90 guests from my italian family and it tasted amazing. Sorry, I'm very excited! (Only 28 more days!) They gave me a seating chart to fill out and I have heard this will be the most difficult part. My question for fellow Milleridge brides, I'm only going to have approx. 135 in the cottage... they suggested either doing about 16 tables of 8 or about 13 tables of 10. I'm just afraid we're going to look so sparse in this big room. Does anyone have any feedback or opinion? I think I'm leaning towards doing 8 at each table. Thanks :)

I did 8/table. I also had one table with 6. As for the seating arrangement, don't sweat it too much. You do have to think about it, but don't drive yourself crazy. Ultimately, it's only for five hours and anyone can stand sitting next to someone they don't know for that short a period of time. The way I did it was as if I was setting people on dates. It worked out fine.

We did anywhere from 9- 12-- I agree with everyone 8 would be perfect at those tables-- the one thing I suggest(part of my anal self) give them the copy of the chart and have 2 in your hand( a trusted helpers hand) the day of the wedding-- when i walked through the room with steve it was great to be able to have it in my hand as well as his right at that moment then taking the time for him to get his-- I am so excited for you how did the cake selection go? We chose a stacked yellow cake with strawberry filling and whipped cream. Not sure but we might end up changing it. I can't wait...
