My tasting/1st meeting Review
I didn't get to explain to much last night, FH was bugging me for 'alone' time.
Anyway, I was really excited to try all the yummy foods. I get to have Duck on my menu, also the usual; prime rib, salmon, chicken, ravioli, and 2 other dishes they offer during the fall/winter (yes, I have 7 choices). We went with the idea of having appetizers & salad served together, so that there's more dancing time.
We will have signature frozen drinks, SUSHI BAR (HOLLAAAA), 2 carving stations (dragon pork and smoked ham), 2 pasta dishes, crepe station. (my mouth is drooling, and it's sad I won't eat 75% if this stuff). Other odds and ends that the waiters will bring around for CH.
They offer 2 different kinds of champagne, and I went with the raspberry because a few of my friends had it there and begged me to get it. We had a taste of that too, it was DELICIOUS (my friends know best). All the food was amazing and I'm stuffed for an entire week, really.
Dessert: Pastries, Ice cream bar, cake, cordials, coffees & teas. (all included, nothing extra).
During CH, the Dj said he'd play for the extra hour, OR, there was a piano player choice. We went with the piano player. Classy, dontcha think? Plus it won't be so loud and people can hear each other speak.
They didn't give me many choices for linens. I was trying to look into a spice color, So I went with ivory tablecloths and red napkins. They had 2 different kinds of tables for me and FH to choose* from for ourselves. One of them had a swan underneath with a glass table. FH said he didn't like it, and neither did I so we went with the basic. Low and behold - when the lady took us down to the room to view it again, thank god we said no to the swan - the swan looks pissed. LOL.
I am so excited. I called my best friend when i got home and told her everything and she asked if we could change our date to 8-21-10. hahaha, I WISH!
My centerpiece which I already posted grew on me since I last saw it. When they had told me they do the centerpieces in the fall/winter special, I thought that meant I could pick it. I wasn't too crazy on tall centerpieces, but this one works perfectly.
