my tight dress

So I picked up my wedding gown and it is so tight!! The dressmaker took it in too much and, although it goes on, it is very difficult to zip. The dress can't be taken out either!! Anyway, does anyone have any tips on how to lose a pound or two in a week without starving myself???

Excersize, don't eat sugar or carbs, I think thats part of the South Beach Diet, my borther and SIL are on it, they lost 7 pounds in like 10 days

Definitely drop the carbs - that'll make all the difference. But don't starve yourself - you need your nutrients!

Cut down on salt & caffiene a few days before your weeding, to avoid water retention, that will help a little, if it is still a little tight.

I think you may want to consider one of those liquid diets. If not, than definitley pass on the carbs and all sugary drinks.

drop down most of your carbs a nd drink lots of water.. this helps me all of the time
also if you are one that eats less when stressed that would help.. some people eat alot when they are stressed

also cut back on sugary foods

Drop your carbs & sugars. i know this goes against that a bit but try to fill up on a mal of fresh fruit - melons, berries - no apples, banans - those fruits are mostly water & you get full fast. My FSIL used Dexatrim to curb her eating for the week before b/c she started to binge from nerves - it helped he loose 3 lbs in a week. She also exercised with at least 20 min of high aerobic activity before eating & this helped cut down on her appetite.

Oh! And fill up on water, water & more water!

Definitely cut the carbs, sugar, sodas, do some exercise everyday and don't eat past 6pm. Drink lots of water but switch to distilled water because it will help you shed excess water weight. But don't stay on distilled for more than a week or so because you will start to deplete your vitamin/mineral levels.

Re: my tight dress

Everyone is giving great advice. Lower your carb/sugar intake. Cut out sodas and drink tons of water. Drinking lots of water won't make you lost weight, but it will help against retaining water.

Also...lots of cardio. You just have to hit the gym and sweat like crazy! Just make sure you're eating enough. You can't starve yourself and exercise...not a good combination.

Good luck!!!!!

I haven't done this myself, but knew someone who did that Hollywood diet (where you drink something) for a week and lost 7lbs. I definately think it is a short term thing only.

Yeah no carbs and do a lot of cardio and make sure you sweat.

I know its not healthy, but I've been only eatting 1 meal or sometimes 2 a day. I can't eat - NERVES!!

Lose the carbs (ALL of them!) - you'll lose a couple of pounds really quickly.

Re: my tight dress

If you belong to a health club I would consult a trainer. I am doing these side bends with 5 lb weights that are tightening up my side/ front abs. That's where my dress is tight.
