My toilet paper gripes

I have issues with toilet paper. Namely:

1) When a new roll is put on, the paper should go over the top, NOT underneath. I don't like having to reach and fish around!

2) People, please don't buy those puny rolls of TP that run out after 2 uses. I only buy the rolls with 1000 sheets. True that it may not be soft as cotton or woven by little quilt ladies, but my a$$ doesn't really care. It just wants to be clean.

3) Why is the core of commercial TP sometimes slightly too small for the spool thingy? I hate it when it's on there so tight that you have to manually push the roll around until you can get enough paper to wipe with. So frustrating.

4) And lastly, I can't stand it when there's a new roll of TP that has the ends permanently fused to the roll so you can never unravel it neatly. You keep trying and trying to free the ends and get a nice clean spin going, but the damn paper keeps shredding and tearing in long streaks of paper, and you're left with a handful of TP confetti

Ok, end of gripes.

Can I add - and this one is REALLY about TP, but is definitely related - I hate when it's not until you've finished that you realize there's no TP in the stall you're in!!!

5) When you use the last of the TP... and grab a new roll... please REMOVE the old roll from the roller and put the new one on.


My FW is NOTORIOUS for leaving the old cardboard roll on the roller... and just stacking the new roll on top.

I can't physically describe how much this annoys me. One time I left it the way it was to see what she would do when the second roll expired. That roll ended up on the floor.

Argh! I HATE THAT! My DH does that too

I thought of another gripe:
6) When someone puts a new roll of paper on the spool but they don't seat it properly so that when you go to get some paper, the roll goes flying across the room and the spool goes in the opposite direction. Then you have to get off the bowl to go retrieve the TP with your pants around your ankles, running as fast as you can so you won't drip

Yeah... a lot more work when the guy is standing up taking a leak. You gotta reach down and such.

But when the girl is SITTING right in front of the roll. She can't make this change while she is doing a little tinkle?

I make the change all the time if I am sitting there doing a number two.

Bama did cross my mind last night as we were taking down our Christmas tree...I thought thank goodness I don't have any pets that eat tinsel because I am not cleaning that swinging poo...it could just keep on keepin on, cuz I ain't goin there!!!!

I screwed it up though - I was so giddy that I couldn't wait until we got to the candy aisle, so I burst it out in the cereal aisle. Close enough though - there's sugar galore there!

Ohhh..you know what..I misread your post..I thought somehow she was leaving the old cardboard on and putting the new roll on as well..sounded stressful for a minute..

I get accused of stacking every now-and- than..hahaha lol..

My dh after he use's a roll of Tp and he finishe's it off he never puts a new one on! i think it's a man thing they think the roll will magically be put on the thingy by itself.

I with you about the new roll beign fused together. I nearly wiped with the damn shower curtain this morning in my migraine haze, since apparently we had inadvetanly purchased the joke roll of tp that had no starter flap.
