My Turn to Vent - RE: MOH/Dress

She said she's not sure it fits correctly. Mom suggested that she picks it up Saturday, even though its Yom Kippur to make sure it fits. I told my sister. She calls back, and doesn't like that idea because she doesn't want to pick it up on the holiday and I should pick it up tonight not knowing how it fits her. Mom says, she didn't have enough time after the first fitting - um, the first fitting was in July and if she wasn't sure if it fit correctly, why didn't she go try it on last time she was home (for my shower)? I am so annoyed. but am calming down figuring that if it doesn't fit her correctly, she will just have to go to a seamstress in PA and make it fit. Apparently its okay to work on Rosh Hashanah, but not pick up a dress on Yom Kippur.

I'm not Jewish, but Yom Kippur, I believe, is a much more 'serious' holiday. From sundown to sundown, they are observing. Some are more observant than others.

Its not that much of a difference is religios observance. Last year she worked on Yom Kippur anyway.

Hmm... well, I just hope everything turns out well--I'm sure it will.
