I received the awful news today from my banquet manager that my venue's lease is up in March and they are not renewing!!!!!!!!!!
They can offer me a spot at their other location, Atlantic Beach, for a 4pm-10:30pm Sunday Wedding. I don't want my guests running out of there cause they have work the next day. I WAS doing an 11:30-5 affair at the location that is closing.
Have to find a new venue. FML!!!!!!!

Woodbury Country Club was my first choice to begin with, but originally my father was very adamant about having a kosher wedding. We couldn't afford to do kosher @ Woodbury, that's why I ended up booking at The Sands. Once the Sands bailed on me, I called my Dad and told him what had happened and explained to him that he is going to have budge on the 'kosherness', it's not like there are an overwhelming number of kosher halls out there and we are not so religious to begin with. My Dad agreed and I immediately called up Woodbury Country Club who still had my date available, six months later!!! Fate? It's a possibility. Things happen for a reason? Also a possibility.

OMG, could that explain why the BMs there were so cagey with me a few weeks ago when I called to ask for some info.... One of my co-workers has nothing but bad things to say about The Sands at Lido - she said they botched her brother's wedding so badly...and then here on LIW there were a couple of threads that said similar horror stories..something about the BM badmouthing other RH's because he didn't want to face the competition??
My wedding there in october was a DISASTER to say the least. Very unprofessional!!!!!!!!!!

It is def meant to be!!!! You will love the Woodbury CC. Everything happens for a reason!!! My wedding was ruined by Ian at the sands at lido last october! Almost a year later I cannot stand to look at the video or even pick up my photos. Anyways have an amazing day!!! And a lifetime full of happiness :o)

How can they do that??? Cant you sue them to pay for your whole wedding? I mean you have other things booked for that day...this is ridiculous!!! I feel so badly for you both!
