Here's my very first DIY cake topper!!!! I really don't think the pictures don't do it any justice, it's so sparkly in person!!!!
I decided to stick with plain crystal colored Swarovski's for my fisrt so I could concentrate more on the placement as opposed to pattern!
It took me 3 hours total but once I started to get toward the end it was getting a little easier. My mom has a little machine that she let me used. She bought it to make my veil It's a crystal applier that grabs each crystal individually and melts the adhesive on the back of the crystal so no other glue is needed and there is no residue seen. I kinda perfected my technique by like the last 10 crystals I applied (figures ) so hopefully I should be a lot faster with my next one!
ETA: I'd also like to hear any constructive critisicm that anyone might have to help me make them perfect!!!

Not including the spike thing that goes into the cake it's 4.5' high and this 'C' in particular is 3 1/4' wide, the spike adds another 2' to the height. I wasn't sure about the size at first but after I got them delivered I think if it were any bigger it would be a little too big and might end up being just cheesy instead of classy and sparkly.

I bought the crystals from an online craft boutique and a friend of my dad's actually picked up the letters for me.
