Actually I was discussing washing machines with my coworkers today! I like top loaders.
I don't like front loaders because I like to start my water & add the detergent for a little bit before I add any of the clothes to the soapy mix.
But if you have any space saving needs, a stacker is your best best

funny you said that- my fh told me to do that and i thought it was weird. is that really the best way to do laundry - im curious....im going to post a poll now

I have a front loader, I really don't notice any difference...I wanted a top loading machine, and we ended up w/ this one. Got it at Lowes in December....w/ rebates. It does the job!

I have a Maytag Neptune. It's a front loader and I love it! I've had it for about 13 months now.

front loaders are better than top loaders...no agitator therefore less wear and tear on your clothing. I believe they also use less water and less energy.
