My wedding day
Ladies, How do you know what day to choose for your wedding day? How do you know that day is the right day? This is getting stressful.

My wedding day
My FI and I sat down when we got engaged and first decided what time of year we wanted to get married. We both agreed that we wanted the fall. We looked at a calendar and saw what weekends there were in October. The day really didnt have any special meaning for us then but now it does fo course!! :) Good Luck Lisa

My wedding day
I knew I needed to get married over the summer because I have some school teachers in the wedding and it would be easier that way. I decided on mid August because I am a public librarian and I will help the Summer Reading Club and Summer Volunteer Program to run. I can make sure all of my programs are done by August and then I don't have to worry about anything. It was a choice between two weekends (when I knew I wouldn't have my you-know-what) and I said to my FH, pick a number, 17 or 24 and he picked 17. So that's how we got it! It's kind of funny--planning a wedding around the Summer Reading Club--but it'll work out well. And we first starting dating on September 17, so August 17 is somewhat fitting.

My wedding day
We decided on the fall and knew we didn't want to use Columbus Day weekend. I knew I didn't want any world series interrupting my wedding (as it did for some people last year) so Oct 5 it was!

Sounds cheesy but.....
We sat down with the hall and saw what was available. Most dates were booked way into 2003...but it just so happened there was one day open in the Spring. As soon as I saw what day it was (the 12th) we both knew it was right. That`s my lucky number! Don't stress about the date...I think you will just fall into the right one.

My wedding day......hmmmmmm
Our date is not *significant*, but, we had to take 4 things into account when we set it. 1) I wasn't finishing school until August 23rd (YAY!!!!!) 2) We wanted a fall wedding (tried for September 30th - it was booked) 3) It had to be on a Sunday after the Jewish holidays (either 9/30, 10/7 or 10/14)... 4) And, it HAD to be before my 36th birthday (I ain't no spring chicken!)hehe - So, it's October 7th - 10 days before my birthday! We'll celebrate it on our honeymoon :) Since it's Columbus Day weekend and all of the kids (including my nephews and niece from New Hampshire) are off on Monday, October 8th!! Which we didn't even think about until after we booked!! :)

I needed the summer (teacher) and wanted July, so I wouldn't have to be rushing back to school. I was interested in July 4th, but both halls I wanted were booked that day. Then I saw the 14th (which is Bastille Day in France) and it was available and I was the first booking (meaning I could set the time I wanted) Now when I teach the French Revolution I can tell my students that it is my wedding anniversary. You are one day before me. And you can have the novelty of having your anniversary on Friday the 13th once every 7 years :)

My wedding day......hmmmmmm
We met in September and fall is our favorite time of the year. Since our best man is Jewish we had to make sure we worked around the two holidays. September 23rd is the the first Sunday in the fall and falls between both holidays, so it is perfect for us. We would have done Saturday 9/22 but Sunday was less expensive.

I am a teacher too so I wanted a date in the summer so I could go on my honeymoon right after the wedding. We went to the halls and saw what dates they had available.

ours was an easy pick
Picking the date was pretty easy for us. We got engaged in December 2000 and knew we wanted at least a year to save. That brought us to December 2001. But I didn't want a winter wedding. I wanted it to be warm!! So that brought us to 2002, and then we realized that May 2002 would be our 5 year anniversay (May 9th), and being we booked almost 18 months out, we had no problems in booking the Saturday closest to our 5 year anniversary, hence we are getting married on May 11, 2002!!Welcome New Vendors
