My wedding day shoes!
Like many of you, I had a hard time deciding what to get. cute flat vs heels? Style or comfort? White or color? So many dilemns...Finally, I told myself I wanted heels. You just walk differently (more tall, more regal) when you have them on.
my criteria for shoes were :
1) I really wanted them to be comfortable. I don't want to end up changing into flats (unless I'm already wearing flats in the first place). So the best I could do was 3 inches max.
2) I wanted to use the shoe again. Add it to my wardrobe. which brings me to the idea that I didn't want it to be white.
3) (optional) I also wanted them to be dye-able, particularly in orange.
I looked at Angela Nunan. I even tried them on at a store in Manhattan. They really really are comfy. Only problem, I wasn't into the limited styles
Also looked at myglassslipper.com. Great selection, especially dyeable options.
Finally I stumbled upon Hey Lady Shoes
https://www.shopheylady.com/index.php
Their website is super cute and they have nice vintage/funky shoes that are meant to be comfortable for weddings. Their prices range 200-300s, which I can deal with (with a sale)
I chose Twinkletoes which came in satin white. I went to a trusted shoe cobbler and had it dyed yesterday
Here are the results!
