That *****! Especially since they knew your date beforehand. Something similar happened to us but the other couple didn't know they announced their date the same day we were handing out STDs. It still ***** because then you have to worry if people are going to actually make it up to both weddings. :/

Re: my wedding drama
I think as long as it's not the same day you can't really complain about it. I mean everyone has a right to have their wedding when they want it. At least it's after yours.

That's irritating! If I were you I wouldn't go. You'll be in honeymoon mode still! You could tell them it's too much for you guys after paying for your own wedding and stuff.

Re: my wedding drama
Awww I'm sorry that really stinks
I think it's so rude when people try to book their weddings so close to someone else in the family or a close friend. It's not right to the other bride and groom, I mean they were engaged first and booked their date first, so I think picking another month is the right thing to do. I mean your gonna need some time to take your honeymoon too. I would try not to let it upset you and ruin this happy time in your life. Unfortunately, we can't control what other people do. If they sense any hostility from you and ask you, I would just be honest with them. Hang in there!

honestly; don't let it stress you out. I'll give her the beneift of the doubt and say she picked it that 2 weeks after b/c she always wanted a spring wedding and didn't want to wait until the following year just b/c there was already two weddings in the family for 2011.
If you're still on your honeymoon then maybe you just won't be able to make it. Nothing personal; just say you'll still be away.
