My wedding is turing into a disaster

I dont know if you all remember I went to a wedding while I was home in Rochester at the same place where my reception was supposed to be and it was HORRIBLE. I changed my recpetion to another place.

So today my dad cals me in a panic because he mailed the deposit in a week and a half after I told the guy tha we were definatly going to have our reception there. The guy called my dad and said he already has 2 weddings (the max) booked for that day.

I called him and he said he had me penciled in and one of his girls booked another party for 60 people on that day ( we are having about 200).

I cannot believe this. This whole week has ****** 1st the job I wanted was givin to someone else because my app was misplaced and now my reception Hall.

He said he is going to see if he can move some things around(because obviously he would rather have the 200 ppl wedding rather than the 60 person)

I understand that he didnt have my deposit yet and al but shouldnt he have called me if i were penciled in to see what was going on especially since I just talked to him and said I was definatly going to book

What do you girls think I should do? This is so upsetting to me. It seems like all of a sudden nothing is going right.

What about the wedding did you not like? Are they things that can be changed if you talk to the banquet manager or someone else who is in charge?

Also take into consideration you will have different music, your own guests............. the feel of it will be different!

I already cancelled the 1st hall. I absolutly hated it i hated the layout the food was horrible the guests sitting in the back cant see or hear anything.

ohh ok, gotcha. sorry I'm pretty tired now.

Anyway, wow, that is so aggravating!!!! How can they double book?!!? I don't really know what to say, just keep calling back and stay on top if things!!! Don't leave them alone until you have a clear idea about what is going on!
