My weekly dr visit

I went tonight and found that I'm 2 cm dialated!!!

I am excited and NERVOUS! The dr. said that while I could stay this way till my due date, it also means that labor will be just a tiny bit easier for me because I'm already making progress.
Woohoo!! I'm ALL about easy labor!!!

Sorry, hun...in the interest of honesty and not sugar coating anything...

I was 3cm dilated for 3 weeks prior to my due date, and when I did go into labor, I had a 23 hour labor AND 4 hours of pushing....so there's no guarantees.

HOWEVER....I'm on your side...I hope it IS easier for you! Positive thoughts can't hurt, right?

Im going to have to agree with Claud on this one, especially because I hate when us mommies, during our LAST MONTH, which DRAGGGSSSS are given that little bit of 'probably' false hope

I was also 2cm dilated 2wks before my due date, and stayed that way for 6 days past my due date, never had any progress at all. My water broke, and the rest is my story

Didnt guarantee anything or hint at any possibility of anything happening quicker or 'progressing'.

I guess I'm just the eternal optimist, but imagine what your labor would have been life if you had NOT started dialating before hand?? Maybe your labor WAS easy compared to what it could have been!

Oh gosh, doesnt that last month really drag? But at the same time it goes fast!!!

I was 1 cm dialated and no effacement even at 2 days overdue, I felt like I was going to be that way FOREVER. And then a few days after that, it all happened fast so you can never tell....

Wow. That is really exciting. Maybe it doesn't mean anything in the end but for now it is at least progress

Hopefully you'll be the exception to the rule and the early dilation helps.
