My whole company got laid off today ...

...well this was a sh&tty day!

i worked for an online celebrity gossip blog and they pulled the plug on us because of 'the economy' even though we were actually getting a lot of hits and becoming more and more successful each day.

we all lost our jobs today (about 18 people)... got severance packages, and hopefully can get a job before that runs out. it was a complete and total shock to everyone.

i'm so bummed right now, because it really was an amazing job and place to work

OMG that is horrible!!! I am so sorry to hear that. I have worked for several start up companies and those are the risks.

Hopefully you will find something that you love just as much or more.

Thanks ladies. I'm definitely trying to stay positive. I just wasn't expecting this and am dreading going through the whole job search thing again.

again sorry. it did not happen to me but FH works for bear stearns and who the heck knows what will happen with recent events but one thing we agreed upon was to stay positive , especially about the wedding
