My younger sister is having pregnancy problems....

Original post by billandme

She is 32 weeks into her pregnancy and her baby is stuck in a horizontal position. She has been in that position for the past 2.5 months. The doctors said that from where the baby is right now, she won't be dropping in time for delivery........

My sisters pelvic bone seperated about 2 months ago, and for the past week, she's been peeing blood..... She went to the doctor and they told her they may have to admit her in the hospital so they can turn the baby......but they said that since the baby is in such an awkward position, it may not work. And there are complications to that too......something to do with the cord.

They might have to do a c-section 8 weeks early.......she is soooooo scared right now......

Has anyone experienced this at all? Any adivce I can give to her? Anyone know what this is called?

That happened with my son Blake, now 7 months. We were going to do a Version, which means, basicly they turn the baby into position, ( very , VERY uncomfortable I heard ) but being that I was soooooo athletic and active, he finally got into position, and I delivered in 20 minutes No epidural, or anything. ALLLLLLLLL natural. Not everyone is the same, so I wish your sister lots of luck. I always massaged my belly in a downward motion. Not to say that helped, cause I'll never know. But it's worth a try.

Sounds like your sister is having one stubborn baby. I hope and pray everything will be ok with them both.
