Re: Myspace
both my FH and I have myspace accounts - it's fun! We leave each other little messages and put up the latest pictures of each other! It's not like it's match.com or eharmony.com! Your FH should chill

Awww man, I'm sorry sweetie! Maybe get him to get on myspace with you!! My FH and I both have accounts....We love leaving each other stupid messages. He has my password and I have his, so its not like we are trying to hide anything from one another. Its just another way for us to stay in touch with friends.

Re: Myspace
I see both sides....I don't have an account and my FH doesn't either..I have seen what that site can be used for, and if we were to ever have an account it would be together. I am sure you are on it to talk to friends, but in all honesty, that site has been used for meeting people, and so on, so I can see where he may be a bit upset...Maybe talk to him about having a shared account, because I am sure you have basically the same friends

Re: Myspace
well the thing that upset him was... I have a lot of friends from highschool that I lost contact with and I found them all on my space (guys, girls) and I never really spoke about them to him before... so when he went on my site and found all these random guys leaving me messages he freaked...

I have a myspace and FH doesn't but he doesn't care. He thinks it's stupid. I think as long as these guys aren't leaving you inappropriate messages it should be fine.

a lot of guys get freaked at that. my DH was a little suspect at first of myspace, but i showed him my page and he has my password, and then he created a myspace page too and i have his password. honestly we don't even sign into each other's pages, but i guess it made him feel better knjowing that he can check it if he wanted to. but i like leaving him cute msgs, as well as my friends and stuff.
but i had to say, it sounds like your FH is teeny bit insecure and has a little bit of a trust issue. is he a jealous guy besides myspace? whether you have 1 guy of 100 guys on your friends list, he should trust you regardless. and the whole 'it's not that i don't trust you, i don't therm THEM' doesn't fly...(not saying that your man said this, but this is a common thing that guys say)

Re: Myspace
He is younger than I am and I am his first real relationship, so yes I guess he is insecure. He did not grow up in this country either so he does not fully get the guy/girl friendship. He is a little jealous... but the way he reacted really freaked me out... I dont know...

cultural differences can sometimes rear their ugly head...my dad is from the 'old country' and sometimes he always had a hard time getting it here in the usa. only you know your relationship....if you think he overreacted...or if his reaction scared you. perhaps you need to talk about it with him again.
jealousy can grow over time...so if he reacted to just myspace like that, there's a chance it might get worse...like if you have male co-workers or guys calling the house who are just friends. it sounds like you were very surprised at how strong he reacted to the myspace...maybe you need to talk to him some more and figure out if this is just about myspace or something more.

Re: Myspace
I have one, but FH isn't into it. He also doesn't care that I have one, he actually teases me. He's not mad bc I just use it to chat with old friends, and leave little fun msgs. Maybe if you let him look at your account he'll see theres nothing to worry about!

Re: Myspace
I think FH has a myspace account he created b4 we started dating, I have one but never go on. Ijust used to get intouch w/ an old friend, but when we reconnected, it didn't seem worth it! Pick your battles, but do what you think is right. Doesn't seem worth the fight to me, but that is just MHO

Re: Myspace
Mine just makes fun of me whenever I am on it, but he doesn't really care that I have a page. I am not on it for dating or looking to meet 'new people' so he is fine with it!

Re: Myspace
we both agreed to open accounts (just to spy on people) but not to make profiles or accept friends or send messages or anything. My last BF was into internet chatting and it broke up our relationship. So we don't even want to go there.
