Nail Color for day of

Im doing french tips..

I think I'm going to do 1 coat Goochi Moochi Poochi with a coat of Ballet Slippers over it. I'm a little nail polish crazy.

PS-I did a french manicure over the weekend with a really pretty combo! We did 1 coat mademoiselle with 1 coat ballet slippers, plus the white, it looks really good!

I love the color Flawless by Essie, but it's a little more pronounced than something as clear as Ballet Slippers (which I also have at home). I love Sugar Daddy if you just want a hint of color!

I'm wearing a very bright coral color today that I cannot remember the name of for the life of me, despite having looked last night and again this moring! It's a fun color but way too neon for the wedding.

I have to go in and do a mani/pedi before this weekend -- if I make it to the Suffolk GTG on Saturday, I'll show it off.

I talked to a woman that used to do nails for advice about my nails for the day of.

I have only gotten one french mani (i always do color) and it lasted not even 24 hours. So I'm really nervous about a french mani not lasting for the wedding.

Then I was thinking acrylics or something... but I've gotten fake nails and I don't want to destroy my nails forever.

So the woman just recommended going a clear, natural color... so I think I'll do something like that. I have nice nails, so all I need to do is get a normal mani with something clear. And I'll do a color on my toes. Maybe I'll paint my nails a color myself on the plane for the HM.

My fav red is Poor Little Rich Girl.. it's all I wear on my toes!

As for my hands, I always vary my pale pinks. Back in the day I LOVED ballet slippers but then out of the blue the formula became much whiter
Now I usually do Mademoiselle and Suger Daddy like some other gals on here

I usually do Sugar Daddy and I used to do Ballet Slippers all the time but I think that Sugar Daddy isn't the right color for the day of. I've seen Madomeoiselle but never tried it. Do you think Ballet Slippers or Madomeoiselle is better for day of?

Ballet Slippers seriously comes out nearly clear on me. My nails are ok, but far from perfect. If I'm not doing a French, I'm going to go with a sheer pastel pink color.

I actually find that French pedis last a really long time. Maybe I'm just lucky!

I like Mademoiselle but it's a little too sheer for me for the day-of. My current color is a layer of East Hampton Cottage with a layer of Limo-Scene. It's nice but more pearl than I want. Waltz is a very pretty color, and I like Ballet Slippers too. My friend wears a coat of Adore-a-ball with a coat of Limo-Scene and it looks great.

ETA: On my toes I am wearing Geranium - a hot reddish orange Since I'm wearing closed toe shoes i wanted a bright color for the HM

I usually do a combo - first coat OPI Pinking of You and second coat Essie Mini How High.

I love Mini How High!

Since your getting married SOON ( ) maybe just stop into a local nail salon and tell them you just want to see what a few polishes look like on your hand and just apply some different polishes on your nails yourself. I feel like colors come out differently on everyones hands and I'd hate to steer you in the wrong direction! From this thread there are at least 5 different good pales for you to pick from

Essie has a great color called Fed Up. It looks like your natural nail. It is always my choice when I don't do clear because I do not like color on my fingers.

As for my toes the day of....I am probably going to do something fun that will look good for the HM too.

mademoiselle is pretty for a french ...

they also have a color called intimate.. do you want it to look pinkish or natural... i know some girls like the beige look, if you do, try the color pound cake
